The new Gallo Reference 3 was very much designed with the performance and decor-conscious audiophile in mind. The innovative new model builds on the design philosophies of the original, now legendary reference products - the Nucleus Solo and the Nucleus Reference. This loudspeaker is uniquely equipped to demonstrate the advantages of the leading high resolution formats, DVD Audio and SACD. The Reference 3 features a revised version of our patented CDT™ tweeter, the CDT II™. A pair of 4-inch hyperbolic carbon fibre drivers - each housed in its own ultra rigid, low diffraction 5-inch stainless steel sphere - handle the critical midrange frequencies without a crossover to the CDT II™ tweeter. Low frequencies are reproduced by a long-throw, dual voice-coil 10-inch woofer. That magnificent driver is accoustically loaded into a sealed alignment that includes the Reference 3's hollow cast aluminium chassis which is filled with our S2 technology air density treatment. |
